We are very proud to confirm four expert speakers for the 7th Hello Metanet Workshop at B2029. These are probably the most knowledgeable people in Bitcoin today (apart from Satoshi himself).

Xiaohui Liu @sinoTrinity

Founder and CEO of sCrypt Inc, a modern TypeScript framework that enables developers to write, test, debug, and deploy BSV smart contracts as easily as developing a traditional Web2 app.

During the workshop Xiaohui will guide you through the entire process, from understanding the basics to deploying your very own smart contract.

Kurt Wuckert Jr @kurtwuckertjr

Chief Bitcoin Historian, Co-Founder of Gorilla Pool, the only BSV exclusive mining pool. Just last year, Kurt founded the Florida Bitcoin Citadel, a coworking & events space for BSV in Delray Beach, Florida. As the host of the Coingeek weekly Livestream, Kurt has gained worldwide notoriety.

In this workshop, you'll learn how to effectively index bitcoin data to use in your business applications. Kurt will explain in-depth why the world needs indexing so badly and how JungleBus can solve the problem.

Brendan Lee @elas_co

Brendan Lee is the CEO of Elas, a company providing cutting edge Blockchain as a Service technologies. As the Chief content creator at Bitcoin Association, Brendan oversees the development of the Bitcoin SV developer curriculum, in addition to the broad array of educational materials produced by the Association.

Brendan is a Bitcoin expert and educator with deep knowledge of the Bitcoin Ledger, network and protocol.

David Case @shruggr

Former FYX Gaming CTO David Case has been at the forefront of building infrastructure for 1SatOrdinals.

For this workshop David will share his deep knowledge on Ordinals, smart contracts and token systems on BSV.

Hello Metanet Workshop #7

Get ready for an exciting weekend in Berlin from 9-11 June 2023 where you can learn to build innovative apps and services on the Bitcoin blockchain at the "Hello Metanet" workshop!

This is the 7th edition of the workshop, and we are continuing to explore the potential of Bitcoin as a data network and a foundation for a better internet. Developers of all levels, as well as non-developers who are curious about Bitcoin and micropayments, are welcome to join us for this unique 3-day learning experience.

During the workshop, we will cover a range of topics, including building apps on Bitcoin, big blocks, smart contracts, micropayment-based business models, and more. We will also have speakers to share their insights, and participants can give talks as well.

Together, we will learn & discuss (amongst other things):

Building Apps on Bitcoin (Frameworks, Developer Tools)
Smart Contracts on Bitcoin using sCrypt
Micropayment based Business Models
UTXO Management, Indexing Bitcoin using JungleBus
IPv6 and Bitcoin

We believe in a hands-on approach to learning, and the workshop will be a mix of building, hacking, and learning, with presentations to share what we have achieved. There will also be live talks to inspire us along the way.

Why Bitcoin SV (BSV)?
Bitcoin SV is the most scalable public chain, the fastest, the cheapest in terms of fees, and has a higher transaction volume. Additionally, it is the most energy-efficient proof-of-work blockchain and has the most capacity to store data.

Target audience
Developers of all shapes and sizes – but also non-developers, interested in understanding what possibilites the bitcoin computer can offer.

General approach
Learning by doing: building together things on top of bitcoin. Doing so by alternating phases of /building /hacking /learning with phases of presentation where we present to the group what we have learned/achieved.
